Claude + LinkedIn
LinkedIn has no official MCP and a locked-down API, so most Claude + LinkedIn advice is a scraper in a trench coat. Here are the three paths that work and stay inside the rules.

LinkedIn, and why connect it to Claude
LinkedIn is where B2B buyers announce job changes, argue about tooling, and read your ads. For GTM it is three products in one: a prospecting database (Sales Navigator), a publishing channel (the feed), and an ad platform (Campaign Manager). For an AI agent it is also the most locked-down surface in the stack.
Start with the honest map. LinkedIn publishes no official MCP server, and its APIs are partner-gated: the Marketing API needs an approved application (developers report months of waiting) and the Sales Navigator API is limited to partners. Anything that promises Claude a live feed of profiles is scraping a logged-in browser session, which violates the user agreement and gets accounts restricted. The paths below are the ones that hold up: the Ads API for campaigns, exports and Clay for research, and Claude for the writing.
Three ways to wire Claude to LinkedIn
Three legitimate paths, each for a different LinkedIn job. Pick by which of the three products you are actually trying to automate.
The Marketing (Ads) API, via Claude Code
For paid, apply for Marketing API access and wire the Ads API into Claude Code. The Development tier lets you read unlimited accounts and write to up to five, which covers most in-house teams. The agent pulls campaign performance, writes a diagnosis, proposes typed changes, and executes only the ones you tick. This is the build behind our LinkedIn Ads use case and the paired skill.
Sales Navigator exports and Clay for research
For prospecting, export the saved lead lists you are entitled to, or run LinkedIn-sourced enrichment through Clay's providers, and hand Claude the file. Claude scores, segments, and writes the angle per row. No browser automation, no scraped profiles, and it survives the next enforcement wave.
Claude drafts, you post
For organic, the honest loop is that Claude writes and a human publishes. Feed it your point of view, the week's calls, and the comments on the last post; it drafts posts in your voice and you hit publish, in LinkedIn or through a scheduler like Buffer. Automating the posting itself is possible through partner tools, but the drafting is where the hours were going.

Read first, write on purposeOn ads, hold the same line as every other write path: read and diagnose freely, gate every budget, bid, and status change behind an approval until the pattern has earned trust. On research and posting, the line is the user agreement. Exports, partner APIs, and enrichment providers are inside it; a headless browser logged in as you is outside it, and the account you lose is usually the founder's.
What you can do once they're connected
LinkedIn Ads managed on a weekly loop: diagnosis, negative and audience proposals, typed changes you approve, executed through the official API.
Prospect lists scored and segmented with real judgment, from exports and enrichment you are allowed to have.
Posts drafted in your voice from your own material, with the argument and the hook done before you open the editor.
An account that stays in good standing, because nothing in the loop scrapes a logged-in session.

Gotchas worth knowing first
- There is no official LinkedIn MCP. Any server you find is community-built on top of the partner API or a browser session; know which before you connect it, because the second kind risks the account.
- Marketing API approval takes time and is not guaranteed. Apply early, describe a real use, and plan the first month of the ads play around exports from Campaign Manager.
- The Development tier writes to five ad accounts. Agencies need the Standard tier, which is a second application after you can show usage.
- Rate limits and audience caps change; LinkedIn capped matched-audience segments per account in 2026. Build the agent to read the current limits, not to assume last year's.
Claude + LinkedIn: common questions
Does Claude integrate with LinkedIn?
Not through an official connector or MCP; LinkedIn does not publish one. Claude works with LinkedIn through the partner-gated Marketing (Ads) API from Claude Code, through Sales Navigator exports and Clay enrichment for research, and as the drafting step for posts you publish yourself.
Can Claude read LinkedIn profiles for account research?
Only from data you are entitled to: your exports, partner enrichment providers through Clay, and the public web. Scraping profiles through a logged-in browser breaks the user agreement and gets accounts restricted, so that is a path we do not build.
Can Claude manage my LinkedIn Ads?
Yes, through the official Marketing API. Apply for access, wire it into Claude Code, and run the weekly loop: diagnose, propose typed changes, execute only what you approve. The Development tier covers reading any account and writing to five.
Can Claude post to LinkedIn for me?
Claude drafts; publishing goes through you or a partner scheduler. Posting on your behalf through the API requires partner access most teams do not have, and the drafting is where the time was going anyway.
What is the first play to run?
If you spend on LinkedIn Ads, the weekly diagnosis: it pays back in wasted-spend cuts in the first month. If you do not, take a Sales Navigator export and let Claude score and segment it. Both are inside the rules and both show the pattern.
